Appointed to City Council in January 2016, Sue Baseley has been a resident of Creve Coeur since 1995, residing at 740 Ambois Drive. Currently working as a cook in a University City café, Baseley is a former Parish Administrator. She earned a B.S. in Geology from the University of Maryland.
Prior to joining City Council, Baseley served on the Horticulture, Ecology and Beautification Committee from 2001 through 2010 and again from 2011 through 2016, include serving as chair for three years and vice chair for several years. She also served as a member of the Climate Action Task Force from 2008 through 2014. She was awarded Creve Coeur Citizen of the year in 2013.
Baseley is a member of the Creve Coeur Squires, and previously served as a Parent Teacher Organization Representative for the Parkway School District Government Relations Committee.
She and her husband, Rick, have two adult sons, Josh and Logan.
